TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane for you mechanically minded folks) is an industrial material prized for its high mechanical strength, elasticity, and air retention properties; a perfect mix of characteristics for an inner tube! TPU inner tubes are lighter, more flat resistant, and retain air a little better than the more common butyl rubber material most tubes are made of. They also pack down much smaller than rubber inner tubes, trimming bulk from your ride essentials. Unlike many others on the market, our TPU inner tubes use a little thicker wall thickness to maximize the durability and air retention traits of the material so you can focus on the ride and less on fixing and maintaining your gear.

Note, it is very important not to exceed the recommended size range of an TPU inner tube or inflate it when out of the tire. Doing so may result in failure of the tube. No inner tube is flat proof, though proper inflation and flat resistant tires help decrease the chances of a flat.
